Omega watch as worn by British Pilots during WWII

This is a fine original, retaining the original silvered dial with luminous Arabic numerals dulled by the years.
Has blued steel and luminous filled pencil hands, signed at 12 o'clock ‘OMEGA’. Hand-winding movement.

The serial number 10106665 indicates that the movement was manufactured in 1944. Refers to cal. 26.5T3, model 216
Large oversized crown allowing the wearer to wind even with gloves.

Stainless steel screw-base, signed interior ‘Acier Inoxydable Omega Fab.Suisse Swiss Made 2165 A S11).

The black strap is new leather and not from the war.

The watch still works fine. Has a few minutes delay at 24 hours.
